Tirumala, Dec 05, 2012 (P.R.O): Thanks to the rain god, all the major dams in Tirumala are full to their capacities driving away the water scarcity in the temple town.

The incessant rains from the past two days have filled the dams including the major water source, Gogarbham apart from Papavinasanam, Akasaganga, Kumaradhara and Pasupudhara dams in Tirumala.

Briefing the media persons at Annamaiah Bhavan in Tirumala on Wednesday, the TTD EO Sri LV Subramanyam said, “Thanks to the Almighty that all the dams are 100% percent full while Gogarbham water levels has increased to over 60%. These waters can meet the water requirements for the next 395 days”, he added.

Tirumala JEO Sri KS Srinivasa Raju, CVSO Sri GVG Ashok Kumar, Additional CVSO Sri Sivakumar Reddy, SE II Sri Ramesh Reddy, Water Works EE Sri Narasimha Murthy and other officers were also present.
