Tirumala, Aug 07, 2012 (P.R.O) The Joint Executive Officer of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams(TTD) has launched “Parakamani Srivari Sevakulu” on-line registration on TTD website in Tirumala on Tuesday.

Addressing media persons in Annamaiah Bhavan after formally launching the “Parakamani Srivari Sevakulu” on-line registration on TTD official web site, the JEO said this seva will commence in Srivari temple from August 17 onwards. The interested eligible pilgrims or devotees can register on-line from today. Initially this is applicable only to Andhra Pradesh, Tamilnadu, Karnataka and Kerala states alone and is limited to first 50 persons who register on-line on first in first out basis(FIFO).

Elaborating on the new seva which is a part of Srivari Seva voluntary service JEO said, Parakamani is an activity where accounting of the offerings made by pilgrims to Lord Venkateswara through Srivari Hundi including coins, currencies, precious items, jewellery etc. is being done on a day-to-day basis in Srivari Temple. Currently TTD is carrying out this massive mechanism with its own employees and Bank employees.

“However to further speed up and enhance counting mechanism, TTD has decided to invite pilgrims or devotees, either working or retired employees of Central or State Government or Quasi Government or PSU or Insurance Companies. Interested Pilgrims or Devotees can register online for Parakamani Seva and they will be nomenclature as “Parakamani Sevakulu”. Only Male devotees aged between 35 years to 65 years, practicing Hinduism alone are eligible for this seva”, JEO noted.

The JEO also stressed that the Parakamani Sevakulu should be healthy i.e., free from arthritis, back pains, asthma, as they have to perform the Seva sitting on the floor for long hours.

He said Parakamani Seva is voluntary Seva like Srivari Seva with no financial commitment from TTDs. However, they Parakamani Sevakulu will be provided with three laddus at subsidized rate of Rs.10/- each on their last day of seva along with Darshan .

Further briefing the guidelines for Parakamani Sevakulu, the JEO said they may opt for either 3 days slot or 4 days slot with 3-day slot commencing on Friday and concluding on Sunday and the 4-day slot commencing on Monday and concluding on Thursday.

“They should upload their recent pass port photo and ID card at the time of on-line registration with e-mail ID and mobile numbers which are mandatory. These sevakulu should report for enrolment, a day before for the respective slots, before 2pm at Srivari Seva Sadan office which is located inside APSRTC bus stand in Tirumala. The temporary ID cards will be issued by the Vigilance and Security personnel at Bio-metric entry in Srivari Temple and the same will be returned to them every time during the completion of their seva session”, JEO maintained.

He said Parakamani sevakulu should not wear or carry any Mobiles, cash, gold, silver, other precious, semi precious stones, watches, rings, bracelets and any other valuables at the time of reporting for Seva and they should wear white Dhoti as in the case of regular employees while discharging their services.
SE II Sri Ramesh Reddy, EDP Officer on Special Duty Sri Balaji Prasad, Deputy EO Parakamani Smt Sharada, Deputy EO Temple Sri Munirathnam Reddy and others were also present.
