TTD to Publish More Books in Braille

The TTD will soon publish spiritual and devotional books, including Suprabhatam, Sahasranamam, Astottaram, Annamaiah Sankeertanas for the sake of devotees who are blind, stated TTD EO LV Subramanyam.
Answering a caller Sanjeev Reddy from Mahabubnagar during the monthly dial your EO programme, held here on Friday, he said earlier the TTD had published some books in Braille for the sake of the blind.
“We will print some more spiritual books on the lines of Chinmaya and Jeeyar educational trusts,” he added.
He also informed Sanjeev that TTD is contemplating’to seek the help of volunteers to guide blind pilgrims for darshan.
Answering another caller Damodaran from Chennai he said, TTD will take up the beautirlcation of Japali teertham after negotiating with the Hathiramji Mutt authorities, as the temple falls under their purview.
Reacting to a suggestion of a caller Nageshwara Rao from East Godavari, the EO said “We are focusing on strengthening the Sri Van Seva system.
The TTD is formulating the guidelines. which will be discussed in the forthcoming board meeting”.
Earlier, in his address to devotees before the commencement of the programme, he called upon students of SSC, Inter (first and second years) to take part in the 12-day training programme initiated by the TTD, in the Hindu sanatana dharma.
“In these times the students are marching ahead academically, but when it comes to ethical values, they are lagging behind, as they have little time to learn about human values taught by our great ancestors, which are mentioned in the holy scriptures.
Through these classes, we want to impart that invaluable knowledge, so that it can help them in character building,” he added.
These classes will be conducted from May isth to May 26 at Tirupati, Ananta-pur, Hyderabad, Warangal, Vizag and Gunrur.
