Brahmotsavams at Rishikesh from May 31
Tirupati , March 10 :
The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) is making elaborate arrangements for the annual Sri Venkateswara Swamy Brahmotsavams at Andhra Ashram in Rishikesh to be held from May 31 to June 8.
The nine-day festival will commence with Dwajaro-hanam on May 31 between 8:45 a.m. and 9:15 a.m.
Srinivasa Padmavathi Kaly-anam will be performed on June 6.
Grihastas participating in the event will be given Srivari Mahaprasadam.
On the penultimate day, Rathotsavam of the Lord will be performed followed by Chakrasnanam on June 8, marking the conclusion of the event.
Hindu Dharma Prachara Parishad will organise spiritual discourses, while Ana-macharya Project artistes will present devotional music concert every day.
Dasa Sahitya project is making arrangements for cultural troupes to participate in the processions.
Rishikesh, which is on the foothills of Himalayas, is an important Hindu pilgrimage.
It has been a tradition to perform Brahmotsavams at the Lord Venkateswara temple in Andhra Ashram in the month of Vaishaka every year.
