Steps taken for Tiruchanur Brahmotsavams from Nov. 21
Tirupati , Nov 18 :

The annual Karthika Brahmotsavams of Goddess Sri Padmavathi Ammavaru at the temple town of Tiruchanoor is scheduled to take place from November 21 to 29.

The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) executive officer, Mr L.V. Subramanyam, joint executive officer Mr K.S. Srinivasa Raju and senior officials held a series of review meetings on the arrangements during the last one week.

They directed officials to ensure that pilgrims chant the various namas (names) during the procession of vahana sevas during the nine-day Brahmotsavams.

They also asked officials to prepare and print small booklets on Padmavathi Vaibhavam, Sri Gunaratna Kosam, Padmavathi Gadyam etc. and distribute these to pilgrims as Pustaka Prasadam during the event.

They instructed security officials to provide enough security and vigilance during the nine-day festival.

Mr Subramanyam asked engineering officials to further beautify the temple tank at Padmapushkarini.

Heads of departments were instructed to display publications, floral expo, mobile allopathic and ayurvedic medical camps and cultural activities in Tiruchanoor during the festival time.

The important days during the nine day karthika brahmotsavams of the Goddess include Dhwajarohanam on November 21, Gajavahanam on November 25, Swarnarath-am on November 26, Rathotsavam on November 28 and Panchami Teertham on November 29.
