PLANS TO UPGRADE THE EDUCATIONAL STANDARDS IN TTD INSTIUTIONS
Tirupati, 16 Aug 2011(P.R.O): The TTD Executive Officer Sri LV Subramanyam has clarified that TTD is working on the methods to upgrade the standards of education in all the TTD-run institutions and ruled out that there is no proposal of handing over TTD educational institutions to government.
Addressing a press conference at the meeting hall of TTD administrative building in Tirupati on Tuesday the EO assertively denied the reports carried by a section of media over TTD educational institutions. He said in a mammoth organisation like TTD decisions will not be made overnight. “The primie motto of TTD is to give students with high quality of education with a blend of spirituality and good ethics as they are the citizens of tomarrow of this great country. So we felt that there is an urgent need to upgrade the teaching standards and impart quality education in all our 35 odd institutions. We have identified two reasons, one shortage of teachers and need to improvise supervision. We are contemplating alternative methods to overcome these two drawbacks by recruiting teachers on contract appointment and also appointing supervisory officers to upgrade the standards”, he added.
The EO said, TTD has already began the revival process of Dharmagiri veda pathasala in Tirumala. “We are planning to set up vedic labs for the students which is similar to that of language labs. This system is already under existence in some vedic institutions of Tamilnadu and Maharastra which will be helpful for the students to learn vedic studies with modern techniques. We will soon conduct a vedic sadas to discuss all these contemporary methods of learning traditional studies”, he maintained.
Joint EO of TTD Sri KS Srinivasa Raju was also present at the press conference.
