ENTRY OF TWO WHEELERS RESTRICTED ON GARUDA SEVA DAY
Tirumala, 27 Aug 2011(P.R.O) Keeping in view the heavy influx of pilgrims to the temple town of Tirumala during annual brahmotsavams especially on Garuda Seva Day, the TTD has restricted the entry of two-wheelers on this auspicious day to avoid untoward incidents on ghat road, said TTD EO Sri LV Subramanyam.
The TTD EO reviewed with TTD and district officials over the on going arrangements of annual Salakatla Brahmotsavams 2011 which are slated to take place between 29th of September to 7th of October, at Annamaiah Bhavan on Saturday. Later addressing media persons the EO said, “as a preventive measure to avoid ghat road accidents due to the rash driving by two-wheeler riders, TTD has put day long curb on Garuda Seva day which falls on October 3. As an alternative we have requested RTC to operate more buses along the ghat road”, he added
