DEPUTY CM OF AP OFFERED PRAYERS AT TIRUMALA
Tirumala, 24 Aug 2011(P.R.O): Honourable Deputy CM of Andhra Pradesh, Sri Damodara Raja Narasimha offered prayers in the temple of Lord Venkateswara at Tirumala on Wednesday evening during the VIP evening break darshan.
The Deputy CM along with his members of family were accorded warm welcome at Padmavathi Guest house in Tirumala by Joint EO Sri KS Srinivasa Raju.The Deputy CM later inaugurated new mini kalyana katta complex at Padmavathi Enquiry area and later tonsured his hair as a part of fulfilment of his wish to Lord.
Later he offered prayers in the Varahaswamy temple and also inspected the ongoing renovation works of temple pushkarini before entering in to the temple of Lord Venkateswara. The Deputy CM and his entourage were welcomed with Mangala Vaidyams in a traditional way. The JEO also explained him about the ongoing silver plating works for Vendi Vakili inside the sanctum.
The Deputy CM offered prayers inside the sanctum sanctorum for about 10minutes.The temple priests explained to him about the greatness of the presiding deity and importance of jewels adorned to Lord. Later the Deputy CM and his entourage were given Vedasirvachanam by Tirumala Pedda Jiyangar and vedic pundits inside Ranganayakula Mandapam and presented Lord’s silk vastram. After that the Joint EO of TTD presented the Deputy CM the photo of Lord, prasadams and some devotional books and CDs.
The Deputy CM expressed that it is his first visit to the temple after taking the charges as Deputy CM of the state. He said he prayed for the well being of the society.
ACVSO Sri Sivakumar Reddy, Dy.EO Smt Varalakshmi, OSD Sri Damodaram, Peishkar Sri Chandrasekhara Pillai, Parupattedar Sri Keshava Raju and other officials were also present.
