TTD plans tastier menu
Tirupati , Aug 5:
The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams executive officer, Mr L.V. Subramanyam, on Friday hinted at the introduction of a “tastier” menu for the pilgrims at the new Annadanam Complex in Tirumala before the commencement of the annual Brahmptsavams this year.
He made this announcement while attending to the calls of the pilgrims during the monthly “Dial Your EO” programme.
Reacting to a complaint raised by another caller, Ms Manjula, the EO directed the health department officials to instruct the hoteliers along the footpath route to maintain cleanliness.
To three other callers, Mr Narendra from Vijayawada, Mr Seshadri from Hyderabad and Murti from Konduru the EO said the TTD was continuously exploring ways and means to provide a hassle free darshan at the temple.
The other concerns raised by callers that the EO addressed were: Streamlining of security along the Srivari Mettu footpath route; arrangement of a separate queue at the Srinivasam Complex for online and advanced reservation pilgrims; and provision for cancellation facility for online’ticket bookers.
Earlier Mr Subramanyam had revealed that the TTD had successfully implemented the current booking of Arjitha seva tickets through an “electronic lottery dip” system.
He also appealed to the pilgrims to co-operate with the TTD personnel during security checks.
The EO added that the copies of Srimad Bhagvatham penned by Bammera Pothana are ready for sales.
