GOVERNOR OF AP OFFERS PRAYERS AT PAPAVINASANAM AND AKASA GANGA
Tirumala, 28 July 2011(P.R.O): The AP Governor H.E.Sri ESL Narasimhan offered special prayers to the two sacred water bodies, Papavinasanam and Aakasa Ganga Teerthams in Tirumala on Thursday.
Earlier on his arrival to the hill temple, the first citizen of the state along with his West Bengal counterpart H.E. Sri MK Narayanan took part in the Archana Seva during the wee hours at around 4am. Later the two honourable governors were accorded Isthikapal welcome with temple tradition and received by TTD top brass officials and priests at the entrance of the temple and again had darshan during the VIP beginning break at around 7.00am.
After the darshan, the two VIPs were rendered Vedasirvachanam by the temple priests in the Ranganayakula Mandapam inside the temple. Later the TTD EO Sri LV Subramanyam presented the lamination photo of Lord Venkateswara and prasadams to West Bengal Governor H.E. Sri MK Narayanan and TTD Joint EO Sri KS Srinivasa Raju presented the prasadams to AP Governor H.E. Sri ESL Narasimhan. Later the Pedda Jiyangar of Tirumala offered Silk Vastrams of Lord Venkateswara to the honourable dignitaries.
The AP Governor Sri ESL Narasimhan later visited the two most pious teerthams at Tirumala, Papavinasanam and Aakasa Ganga and offered prayers.
