Tirumala ‘laddu’ may be rationed
Tirumala , June 28:
With the TTD management deciding to take up the work of laying of gas pipe lines to its newly-constructed Nitya Annadanam complex – scheduled to be inaugurated by the President on July 7, there is a likely scope for a temporary ‘hindrance’ in the laddu production inside the famous Tirumala temple of Lord Venkateswara.
According to the temple sources, the gas pipe line connection to the new annadanam complex has to be provided from the existing pipe lines carrying the gas to the temple kitchen (potu).
Unless the gas supply to the temple kitchen is not disrupted, the new supply to the annadanam complex cannot be provided.
It is under this compelling reason that the management has decided to temporarily provide two laddus to the visiting pilgrims on the days when the repair works are in progress.
The repair works are likely to be taken up in the next couple of days after ensuring a sufficient buffer stock of the much-sought-after laddu prasadam.
However four laddus were issued on normal basis to the visiting devotees on Tuesday.
