The structure will be inaugurated by the President on July 7.
The district collector, Mr Solmon Arokiaraj, also accompanied the executive officer.
Mr Subramanyam told the media that the new complex has four big halls with a capacity to serve free food to over 4,000 pilgrims in a single serving.
“We have also installed the statue of Goddess Vakula Mata Devi in the temple kitchen,” he added.
To note here, the Goddess is the mother of Lord Venkateswara.
“As per tradition, usually before beginning to eat food, we recite the Annapurneshwari sloka and then begin eating.
We want to introduce the sloka in the new Annadanam complex in the near future.
The significance of Annadana will be displayed to devotees through catchy sayings.
The objective here is that pilgrims and staff should not waste food,” he observed.
